The Belowground Transit System had been Nagspeake's railway experiment, but it failed and had been abandoned. She noted that Nagspeake records were very bad, and so they had not known much about the previous owners of the house, and Doc Holystone had not been seen around Nagspeake since his capture. ![]() Pine said instead that Fenster had recognized Doc Holystone from the Wanted posters Deacon and Morvengarde had put up around Nagspeake. ![]() Milo noted that while smuggling was a large part of Nagspeake culture it was technically illegal. Pine told the story of Fenster Plum seeing the ghosts of Doc Holystone and his son, she left out the part about Fenster having been a smuggler.
